How do we actually manage our social media channels? In order to have all channels at a glance and to efficiently optimize the online presence of the IT Center, we, the editorial team, use the tool SocialHub:).

So of course, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to attend this year’s pop-up event in Cologne. Invited guests included SocialHub customers who use the tool in their company as well as external guest speakers.

The Event

We, the “SocialHub experts”, got together and set off for Cologne early in the morning to take part in the event. To ensure that the event could start on time at 10am, admission began at 9:45am.

During this time, we were able to get a first insight into the upcoming event, get our first coffee and make our first contacts. Once everyone had arrived, we were welcomed and then divided into groups to get to know each other. In mixed small groups, the people from different companies were able to get to know each other, find out which positions they hold in the company and philosophize about current and upcoming social media trends.

After a short coffee break, we were able to listen to a very exciting presentation by Peter Mestel on the future of communication. He has been working in the social media sector for years and shared his knowledge with us about social media strategies, broadcast channels and MTV. With maximum motivation, we then went into a well-deserved lunch break. This was also used for networking and to talk about our own social media strategies, highlights, and failures over delicious food. A second exciting presentation by “Duisburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrsgesellschaft” captivated and amused the audience with a lot of wit and knowledge about their own social media campaigns and methods. Afterwards, everything about current and future features was shared in a presentation by SocialHub.

The meeting and the presentations were rounded off by informal discussions with other companies and getting to know our SocialHub contact personally, who has already been a great help to us in several matters. Our personal highlight was definitely the photo box and, of course, the exciting exchange of experiences. We went home with countless goodies, tasty snacks and a few incentives for future campaigns and topics. A day full of inspiration, motivation and lots of learning came to an end and couldn’t have been better.

We would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to experience other perspectives from the world of social media. Special thanks also go to SocialHub for this fantastic experience and your warm hospitality.

We look forward to the next time!
