The IT Center, as the central IT service provider of RWTH Aachen University, offers a number of continuing education and information events. Unfortunately, since last year, due to COVID-19, barely any events can take place or have been replaced by an online format. We used the time gained by this to build a brand new, clearly arranged website for you, which informs you at a glance about all events around the IT Center.
On the new platform you will find events, workshops, seminars or anniversaries organized by and with the event team of the IT Center, which are addressed specifically to employees, lecturers and students, but also to external RWTH people.
Why a new platform?
Up to now, our events were spread over different websites, depending on the topic. The HPC events were located on our former documentation portal (doc.itc). Info days, admin rounds, anniversaries or other events were on our IT Center website.
With the IT Center Events pages, we have now bundled all events on one platform for you, so that you can find them faster and easier.
An insight into the functions
Are you interested in topics like HPC, 5G, the Info day or the Admin Round? Then the listing of events from A-Z will help you. Here you can find all past and upcoming events sorted by title.
The calendar function offers you the possibility to search for specific event dates and to see at a glance what will take place next.
A keyword cloud on the right-hand side also helps you to filter explicitly according to your interests, and quick links take you directly to frequent events from the IT Center.
HPC events have their own section on the events pages, which you can access via the menu. There you will also find the Research Data Management events via a redirect to the Research Data Management blog.
Long story short
Just click through and drop by regularly or use the RRS feed function to make sure you don’t miss any events. We look forward to your suggestions for improvement and your general feedback on the new website!
