In the current winter semester, the Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS) is once again inviting participants to the digital exchange format MoodleCafé. MoodleCafé offers teachers and teaching assistants at RWTH Aachen University the opportunity to gain insights into successful teaching practices and to contribute their own questions or experiences.
This semester, the event series focuses on the topic “Best Practice in RWTHmoodle – Structured, visually clear, and didactically diverse course rooms”. The aim is to highlight the diverse design options offered by RWTHmoodle and discuss practical examples. Teachers from various disciplines will present their Moodle course rooms and show how structure, didactics, and design interact to optimally support learning processes.
MoodleCafé on November 26, 2025, from 2 to 3 pm.
At the MoodleCafé in November, Dr. Sarah Heinemann from the Chair of Contemporary German Language and Lena Schlumbohm from the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management will present their Moodle course rooms.
Dr. Heinemann will show how she has created a clearly structured and interactive course room for her seminar on language and communication science by using various Moodle activities and visual design elements.
Ms. Schlumbohm will present her course for economics students, which accompanies and motivates prospective graduates in the orientation phase of their thesis.
The format is aimed at all interested teachers and teaching assistants who are looking for new Moodle ideas for their teaching or who want to optimize their course rooms. The CLS offers you the opportunity to get inspiration for your own teaching and to engage in direct exchange with colleagues!
