IT Center participation in the MyScore project
As the central IT facility of RWTH Aachen University, the IT Center is participating in the RWTH project Mobility System Cooperation in Higher Education, MyScore for short. The MyScore project, which started in 2019 and is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), aims to shape the digitalisation of international university cooperation and student mobility of tomorrow.
Project Lecture Hall 4.0
Optimal teaching and learning experiences in the lecture halls
The “Lecture Hall 4.0” project began in July 2019. The aim is to create technically modern equipment for lecture halls in a uniform manner, both in terms of equipment and operation. A support and maintenance concept is to be established as well. This will ensure that lecturers can be provided with support when working in the lecture hall.
For the winter semester 2020/2021, lecture halls at RWTH were equipped with new modern lecture hall PCs for media support for classes. The project focuses on optimizing the equipment inventory and the use of media technology. Read the rest of this entry »
FAIR Data Spaces – Establishing a shared cloud-based data space for business and science
Together with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) e.V., Atos Information Technology GmbH and with various NFDI consortia, the cloud-based data space “FAIR Data Space” for business and science is being created and built.
The cooperation project “Prüfung hoch III”
To mark its 100th anniversary, the Stifterverband for German science, or Stifterverband for short, has launched the anniversary initiative “Effect to the power of 100“. The aim is to promote the 100 best ideas for the education, science and innovation system of tomorrow.
After the application phase had been completed in mid-September 2020, an expert advisory board selected the 100 best ideas (from a total of 500 applications) for the future of the education, science and innovation system. And the IT Center was among them – we reported on it in detail here on the blog.
Ever since then, a while has passed and synergies have emerged with different perspectives on the common theme, allowing for a holistic view of digital testing. Read the rest of this entry »
