In our last article about the Research Data Day (TdF) 2023 in NRW, we informed you extensively about this day of action for research data management and launched a call for poster contributions for the joint afternoon program of RWTH and Forschungszentrum Jülich. The posters are an essential part of the networking event and will be presented after our diverse lecture program. In this post, we would now like to present in detail the program flow for the event “From Data to Diamonds – Empowering Research with AI and RDM” on Research Data Day.
What to Expect at the TdF
A variety of events will be held across the country on November 14, 2023 as an informational opportunity on research data management (RDM). Under the motto “Promoting and Refining Data: Bring your data treasure to light”, the central NRW-wide morning program will start at 9am online via Zoom.
Are you interested in participating in the morning program? Then register via the fdm.nrw website.
In the afternoon, the participating universities take over and offer their individual program for the TdF. This year, RWTH Aachen University in cooperation with Forschungszentrum Jülich invites to the lecture and networking event “From Data to Diamonds – Empowering Research with AI and RDM” in Aachen. The event will take place from 1 to 6pm at the SuperC of RWTH Aachen University. Please note that the event will be held in English.
If you would like to participate in the afternoon program of RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich, please register via the event database of RWTH Aachen University.
For all interested parties who cannot be present on site in Aachen, online participation in the talks and a virtual poster session is possible. In this case, please use the Zoom registration link to register.

Networking is in the Spotlight
Exchange ideas with colleagues and the Aachen and Jülich RDM experts on developments in RDM and hotly debated topics in the context of AI in a nice atmosphere with coffee and finger food.
In the poster session, researchers and data stewards – including data officers, data managers, and other data stewards – will give insights into their work or present use cases on RDM from their projects. The TDM team at RWTH and the Central Library of Forschungszentrum Jülich will also present their RDM offerings, providing an orientation to the infrastructure available at the site. We look forward to meeting you in person at the SuperC!
