It’s coming soon! Love Data Week 2023 is just around the corner. In the week around Valentine’s Day, February 13-17, data love will be celebrated worldwide under the motto “Data: Agent of Change” with many events on different RDM topics.
About the motto “Data: Agent of Change”
This year’s theme is about inspiring researchers to use data to bring about change: political change, environmental change, social change and much more.
With the right data and the right decisions, it is possible to move mountains, says the maxim. That’s why this year will focus on helping new and experienced data users find data training and other resources that can help them advance the issues they care about.
We love Data!
RWTH Aachen University is also taking the opportunity to express its love of data with two events as part of this year’s Love Data Week.
Anyone who is looking for their research data love or has perhaps already found it and now wants to make a successful application for the corresponding storage space should attend the event: Coscine – FAIRly in Love with Research Data.
Find out if the new web-based research data (dating) platform Coscine, developed at RWTH Aachen University and offered across universities, is right for you.
Coscine enables the storage, management and archiving of research data and metadata in accordance with FAIR principles:
- Findable: Find your research data love – Coscine helps you do this, including metadata search and persistent identifier assignment.
- Accessible: Get in touch with your research data love – Coscine makes this possible through various interfaces and low-threshold access to the platform.
- Interoperable: Use a common language with your research data love – Coscine supports you with established standards for the description of metadata.
- Reusable: Meet your research data love again and again – Coscine supports up to 10-year relationships in line with good scientific practice via Research Data Storage.
The workshop will present the platform and its functions as well as possible uses for researchers, data stewards and those interested in RDM. Of course, there will also be room for questions and exchange.
Fancy a first date without obligation?
Then you can now easily reserve a place at the event digitally. The meeting will take place on the day of love – February 14, 2023 – from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the famous Zoom.
