Follow-up Report on the RDM Network Meeting in April

The last Open Meeting of the RDM network, unlinke past network meetings, was held in Presence on April 12, 2023. Above the rooftops of the city in the conference room of the University Library of RWTH Aachen University, data stewards, RDM managers and RDM interested parties from the university met for the RDM network meeting and to get to know each other.

The week before last was all in the name of love, or more precisely the love of data. For this reason, the regular Open Meeting of the RDM Network took place this time on February 15, 2023 as part of Love Data Week online via Zoom and was not only aimed at the data stewards, RDM officers and RDM interested parties at RWTH Aachen University, but also at external parties. On January 11, 2023, the data stewards, RDM officers and RDM interested parties at RWTH Aachen University met for the first time in the new year for the regular Open Meeting of the RDM Network online via Zoom. The focus this time was on the two RDM instruments DataLad and the GIN-Tonic tool.

After last year’s great success, the Day of Research Data in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) entered its second round on November 15, 2022 under the motto “Lighthouse RDM: Orientation in the data sea”. The event started with the digital morning program across different locations. We were there again this year and have summarized the program for you.

On November 15, 2022 the Research Data Day in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) will be held for the second time. This time, the motto of the event is “Lighthouse RDM: Orientation in the data sea“.
On this day, events on research data management (RDM) will be held throughout NRW and various universities will present their RDM offerings. The complete programme can be found on the website of the State Initiative for Research Data Management – fdm.nrw.

On April 13, 2022, the data stewards, RDM managers and those interested in RDM at RWTH Aachen University met again for the regular open meeting of the Research Data Management (RDM) network online via Zoom. This time there were two exciting topics: an introduction to the KNIME software and the long-awaited presentation on the dependency analysis of research data at the IoP using GitLab.

The time will soon come again: the next open meeting of the RDM network will take place online via Zoom on April 13, 2022. This time, RDM managers and data stewards can look forward to two topics. The next meeting will focus on a presentation of the KNIME software and an introduction to dependency analysis of research data at the IoP using GitLab.

The RDM team invited to the regular meeting of the Research Data Management (RDM) network on March 9, 2022 and once again data stewards, RDM officers and people interested in RDM at RWTH Aachen University came together again online via Zoom. This time, the participants discussed strategies for introducing data management plans (DMPs) in projects.
