Overleaf/ShareLaTeX is an installation of the LaTeX text typesetting system on servers that can be used via the browser. This service supports collaborative editing of LaTeX documents.

Interested? Then it is called: On your marks, get set, go!

*Due to the great demand, the maximum number of participants
for the pilot project “Overleaf” has already been reached. No further registrations are possible.

If you have any questions, you can of course still contact our project team.

A large part of scientific publications (especially in the field of mathematics and natural sciences) is created with LaTeX. With the help of ShareLaTeX, during the pilot phase launched last November, teams can work together on the same publication by versioning and centrally storing resources (e.g. graphics, templates, etc.). No local installation is necessary – the documents can be created and edited online in the browser.

The IT Center of RWTH Aachen University offers this service in cooperation with the Technical University of Darmstadt.

In our pilot project, the use of the instance of the TU Darmstadt will be tested by institutions of the RWTH and the service will be used through a community cloud offering.

The project goals of the pilot phase, which ends on 30.06.2022, summarized for you:

– Use of the Overleaf instance at TU Darmstadt by RWTH institutions.

– Gathering of experience in order to create the basis for the decision for productive operation: Product scope, integration of offered features, cooperation with TU Darmstadt, support effort, etc.

Since the maximum number of participants is limited to 100, be quick and register today!

Overleaf users are also welcome to join the pilot project and share their feedback with us. We are especially interested in the differences to already purchased licenses of Overleaf compared to the use of Overleaf in connection with the TU Darmstadt.

Just send an email to our project team.
