Were you able to realize all your New Year’s resolutions or was it actually not that easy to keep them? In our New Year’s article “Happy New Year – Not the same procedure as last year!” we gave you all kinds of tips and tricks on how to achieve your resolutions.

We also have a few tips for the perfect start to spring. This is not directly about spring-cleaning (you can read more about it in our post “Time for spring cleaning! 5 Tips for a Tidy Workspace”), although it does help combat the widespread “spring fatigue” that many people experience with the transition to spring. You can counteract these springtime startup struggles, which include circulation problems, fatigue, headaches and aching limbs, with a few hacks such as #ExploringTheWorld – our positive New Year’s resolution #4.

Here now is our spring starter pack:

#More light

Slowly, the days are getting longer again, the light is getting increasingly stronger and with the equinox on March 21, we welcome spring. Due to the increased sunshine and more hours of sunlight during the day, our body releases natural vitamin D and serotonin and thus ensures a better general well-being. More light has a positive effect on our body, mind and soul. Let’s actively enjoy the first sun rays of the year and the blooming of flowers in the garden and on the terrace.

#More color

Because spring is also the time of awakening, the first flowers sprout and it becomes colourful outside again. To get rid of the dreary winter gray indoors, you can, for example, put fresh branches in a vase. This gives the (home) office a spring-like freshness. Spring has also been long awaited by the hobby gardeners among us. Finally, the early bloomers – daffodils, tulips and hyacinths – are back on the market everywhere. In order for them to last as long as possible in the office, the pot should never dry out completely. But as with many houseplants, it is best to avoid standing water. A cool, but also bright location, such as the windowsill, is the perfect location for the small spring meadow indoors.

#More air

With spring, it’s also starting to get a little warmer and you can ventilate a little longer. In the warmer spring months, 8 minutes of ventilation time in March up to 15 minutes in April is advised as optimal, several times a day in each case. Otherwise, of course, you can enjoy the warmer spring air by taking a walk – for example, during the lunch break. :-

Of course, our other positive New Year’s resolutions like #self-love and #laughmore still apply. We hope you had a good start into 2022 and wish you a beautiful spring.
