Moodle is not only the most widely used learning management system in the world, as an open source system, it is also supported and constantly expanded by a large global Moodle family. So, it was about time for an international “family meeting”: The first ever MoodleMoot Global.

The event took place in Barcelona and with more than 350 participants from more than 40 countries, the expectations were more than fulfilled. The IT Center, as part of this Moodle family, was of course there and used the meeting to share our experiences with RWTHmoodle with the community. In her presentation, Susanne Kubiak presented the challenges of switching to RWTHmoodle, as well as our solution strategies and options for action. In addition to our own experiences, we were also able to learn about and take home many important developments and reports from other institutions. We will use these to improve RWTHmoodle and our networking with the community. We are already looking forward to the next family meeting!
