Oticon A/S is a world leading hearing aid (HA) manufacturer founded in 1904 by Hans Demant. It is based in Copenhagen but holds multiple international offices in over 100 countries.
The Oticon Centre of Applied Audiology Research (CAAR) investigates benefits of hearing technology in collaboration with leading researchers globally. It delivers insights on new technology developed by Oticon, e.g. by performing technical measurements and hearing experiments.
During my internship in CAAR, my responsibilities included carrying out and analysing laboratory technical measurements and recordings on HAs as well as contributing to the design of listening experiments with HA users. This presentation will focus on the possibilities of assessing hearing devices both objectively and subjectively.
