My internship at Müller-BBM Industry Solutions GmbH involved various tasks in the field of traffic noise research. This included on-site certification of ISO noise test tracks in France and Morocco. In researching the aging behavior of noise-reducing road surfaces in Germany, I planned and carried out projects with road maintenance authorities, regional councils, and state building authorities. These projects included 3D laser scanning of road surfaces and installation of temperature sensors during road repairs. For the evaluation of tire-road noise and streetcar noise, I developed algorithms in MATLAB and Python for automatic noise assessment in accordance to Statistical Pass-By (SPB) and Close Proximity (CPX) methods.
