Vaccination Program Expanded Again

June 21st, 2021 | by

In consultation with the University Medical Center, we have decided to extend the vaccination offer to all university members born on or before December 31, 1993. Anyone from the previously invited age groups will, of course, still be eligible to book an appointment.

The booking portal, which can be found at this link, will open for the new age group from 8 am on Tuesday June 22, 2021. Employees need their personnel number to book an appointment, while students need their student ID number. If you do not know these numbers, you can find them in the RWTH Selfservice under RWTH Data.

Please contact

  • the IT Service Desk if you have any technical issues,
  • the relevant HR department if you have any questions about your personnel number, and
  • the Registrar’s Office if you have any questions about your student ID number.

Please also note the following information from the University Medical Center:

  • They are currently only using the BioNTech’s mRNA vaccine.
  • Due to the still existing vaccine shortage, everyone must adhere to the six-week interval between the two vaccinations. It is not possible to deviate from scheduled appointments for personal reasons.
  • Individuals who have already received a first vaccination at another facility (vaccination center, family practice, etc.) cannot book their second vaccination through the University Medical Center.

The Crisis Management Team will inform you immediately as soon as younger cohorts are eligible to book a vaccination appointment.
