The international Data Science Journal is seeking contributions for a special volume on “Data Management Planning across Disciplines and Infrastructures“. The focus of the contributions should be on working with data management plans and their implementation. Articles can be submitted to the Data Science Journal until November 15, 2022.

Background

Data management plans (DMPs) are in constant development and are increasingly in demand among researchers. This is because they provide relief in the research data management jungle and structure the handling of research data. Therefore, the further development of DMP templates and the illumination of the accompanying challenges is highly relevant in order to offer future reliable guidance for diverse disciplines.

Call for Papers

The Data Science Journal invites submissions that provide concepts for future directions on the design and use of effective data management. Practical examples to support researchers are also desirable.

Submissions must be in one or more of the following categories:

  1. implementation of DMP in project management strategies
  2. cross-discipline data management
  3. discipline-specific data management planning
  4. data management planning and infrastructure integration
  5. future directions in developing data management plans.

The deadline for submissions is November 15, 2022.

For published articles, fees incurred for publication such as editing etc. are waived with a sum of £650. In addition, full (golden) open access is provided under a Creative Commons Attribution License.
