Do you already have plans for September? How about a two-day workshop on Research Data Management, or RDM for short, in science and technology with a special focus on the concept of data stewardship? We have compiled the info for you.

Background of the Workshop

Sustainable and well thought-out handling of research data is by no means a basic competence of scientific staff in research institutions. Therefore, more and more scientific institutions and projects rely on data stewards to establish sustainable work processes and to sensitize researchers to the importance of RDM.

Data Stewardship Goes Germany

For this reason, the working group TU9 – Alliance of Leading Technical Universities in Germany – invites Data Stewards and Research Data Officers, Research Data Handling Officers, Data Experts, Data Curators and Data Managers as well as all those interested in RDM to the workshop “Data Stewardship goes Germany”.

The workshop will take place from 25 to 26 September 2023 at the Open Science Lab of the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB). The workshop offers the opportunity for direct exchange with the RDM community. Innovative solutions and critical problem outlines around data stewardship will be presented, discussed and evaluated.

Good to Know

The two-day workshop will be held in English. Participation is free of charge. Registration is expected to open at the end of July once the program has been published.
