Currently you are being asked for your consent when logging in to services.

Why is this happening?

IDM.nrw is a project of the Digital University NRW. The aim is to lighten the effort for universities to access and provide services to each other throughout NRW.

One component of this is the uniform handling and release of personal characteristics (attributes). Here, a general recommendation for NRW was developed, which is now also being introduced locally at RWTH. This recommendation contains a set of information that is as limited as possible and with which the majority of services should be able to get by. This includes name, e-mail address, university affiliation and your roles.

What is Changing for You?

As always, if something changes regarding your personal data to be transferred to a service, you will see it the next time you log in to the corresponding services – before the data is transferred to the service.

The view with which the attributes are displayed to you has been revised. In particular, the names and descriptions of the attributes have been revised to make it clearer what information about you is being transferred to the respective service.

What Do You Have to Do?

If you agree that the service receives your displayed data, you have to agree to it in order to be able to access the service.
