Today we are once again celebrating Blogging Day, an opportunity to celebrate the digital sharing of knowledge. Blogging is much more than simply writing texts – it is a bridge that connects us with our community.
Since 2015, we have been providing you with information about our IT services and more on the IT Center Blog. The RDM-Blog also offers you exciting information on the topic of research data management. This year, the IT Center Changes Blog has been added to the IT Center’s blog repertoire. Sharing Knowledge, Strengthening Community
The IT Center at RWTH Aachen University actively pursues blogging activities. In addition to our online presence in social media presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Youtube, we provide you with articles on various topics three times a week on the IT Center Blog.
This year, we’ve shared a wealth of posts ranging from technical topics and developments to best practices and feel-good tricks. We’ve provided insights into our work to support our community in their digital endeavors. You can find a few examples below:

Diverse Blog Landscape
In addition to the IT Center Blog, you can also browse through our specialized blogs. In the RDM-Blog, the group Marketing & Event Management together with the RDM Team share valuable insights and advice in the field of research data management.
Research data management is about the systematic handling of research data such as source research, experiments, or surveys. With the help of the blog, you will be informed about current developments, upcoming events at RWTH Aachen University and other institutions as well as RWTH best practices and use cases.
The IT Center Changes gives you a look behind the scenes. So-called changes are changes to a service or to the IT infrastructure. The specialist departments are currently reporting on such changes and updates in the services RWTH-HPC, E-Mail, and Gigamove on this blog. You will be informed here about software or version updates, for example.
