The IT Center wishes all readers a happy new year! Just as you, dear reader, have probably been thinking about good resolutions that you want to try to realise in 2025, we have also made some plans for 2025: Together with you, we want to implement exciting projects, drive forward digital innovations and make IT services even more user-friendly.

Going Digital: Our Resolutions for the IT Center

Whether it’s a low-carb diet, daily visits to the gym, finally learning to play the trombone, getting up at 5 am or regularly visiting grandma, the IT Center has also set itself ambitious goals for the coming year. The focus is on the following areas:

• Optimising user-friendliness: We want to make our systems and services as intuitive as possible so that students and staff can access IT resources even more quickly and easily.
• Promoting sustainability: The topic of green IT will remain a central component of our work in 2024. Energy-efficient data centres and resource-conserving processes are just the beginning.
• Strengthening cybersecurity: We want to protect you even better from the challenges of the digital world with new training courses and security measures.

Of course, we also welcome your suggestions and ideas. What changes would you like to see from the IT Center in the new year?

Good Wishes and Digital Traditions

At the turn of the year, we would like to give you a little idea to take with you: A ‘digital time capsule’.

Write yourself an email with your resolutions, goals or wishes for 2025 and plan to open it in a year’s time. A digital glimpse into the future. Who knows which of our resolutions we will have kept – so we can pat ourselves on the back – and which we won’t. But let’s be honest: as long as the coming year brings a smile to our faces, we’re already halfway to a good start.

So, as we plunge into the new year with renewed vigour, one thing remains constant: our gratitude for your support and the joy of working together. Let’s create a productive, inspiring and happy year together.
