In order to further increase transparency regarding the use of RWTHmoodle, the IT Center and CLS are introducing written Terms of Use for the platform for the first time. These terms define the framework for using the system and also serve to provide legal protection for the service. Starting March 26, 2026, the Terms of Use will be displayed after logging into RWTHmoodle. These Terms of Use must be accepted once in order to continue using the platform.

What will change for users?

Essentially, nothing will change for users regarding their current use of RWTHmoodle. The Terms of Use summarize and transparently present in writing, for the first time, the existing framework conditions for using the platform. These include topics such as access and login, access rights in learning spaces, data protection and accessibility, obligations during use, and the handling of potential violations of the usage rules.

What do users need to do?

After the RWTHmoodle maintenance on March 26, 2026, the Terms of Use will be displayed automatically the next time you log in. Users are asked to read the terms and confirm them once in order to continue using RWTHmoodle. Access to the platform will not be possible without consent.
