API in DNS-Admin

From now on, Application Programming Interface-Tokens (API-Tokens) simplify and automate the processes in DNS. Changes can now be easily accessed via the DNS admin using API tokens from a script or other software. One advantage that results from this: Time and clicks will be saved.

Archive Migration – The Journey Continues!

Archive migration is probably what is called a mammoth project in IT. In addition to the enormous size of around 1.7 petabytes (PB) that needs to be migrated, some of the data has been stored in the archive for a very long time. This in itself is a great result and testimony to a secure and stable archive, but this circumstance caused the project team around the archive migration one or the other challenge.
Feedback on the Beta Version of the RWTHapp 2.0
As part of the beta test, you had the opportunity to test the new RWTHapp in advance in mid-May – which around 3,000 of you did diligently. With the help of your feedback, we are now continuing to work on the app, which is expected to be ready for launch in the course of the coming winter semester 2022/2023 and will accompany you through your daily university life.

About 50 years ago, the first e-mail was sent – albeit between two computer systems that were part of the same local network. In the 1980s, the internet was opened up to a larger circle of users and e-mail was given its own transmission protocol “Simple Mail Transfer Protocol” (SMTP).
Even today, the exchange of messages via e-mail is undoubtedly an important way of exchanging information between parties via an asynchronous communication channel.
