A Look Behind the Scenes of Apprenticeship – Part I
After Daniel Malenkovic successfully completed his apprenticeship as a dialog marketing specialist at the IT Center in February 2024, we were delighted to welcome another graduate in June: Yasin Kalem.
After three years of hard work, he too has finally achieved his goal. But what was it like for him? What did he do with us, how did he feel and what’s next for him?
That’s exactly what we asked him and we take a look at his journey with us in a one-to-one interview.
Europe Day 2024: United in Diversity
Europe Day took place on 14 May this year, when the Berufsschule an der Lindenstraße (BKAL) organized a project day for students, teachers and interested parties. Our trainee Yasin Kalem gave several presentations about his time in Malta to show other trainees and interested parties the possibilities of an internship abroad. He already reported on his experiences in Malta in an earlier blog post. To allow others to benefit from his findings, he shared them at the Europe Day.
Review of the SWT Fair 2024
On February 16, 2024, the IT Center opened its doors again for the Software Technology Fair, which is the highlight of the Software Technology module for the dual students of the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science degree program. The prospective mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE) had the opportunity to proudly present their practical projects.
Internship Abroad in Malta
Our apprentice, Yasin Kalem, who has already given us an insight into DiMa apprenticeship in the past, was able to complete an internship abroad in Malta as part of the apprenticeship and Erasmus+ program. He spent a total of five weeks on the Maltese islands, where he worked as a “Business Development Manager” at the esports academy “Level Academy Malta”.
He has summarized everything he experienced there for us.
