This internship focused on the crucial role of sound localization in daily life and how hearing aids can distort this ability by altering binaural cues. During the internship with the R&D department at WS Audiology in Erlangen, several enhancements were made to the Offset Visualization Toolbox, a toolbox designed to illustrate and analyze these distortions. The updates included improved video display, dual sound source analysis, clearer text presentation, practice location adjustments, and the expansion of the toolbox from MATLAB to Python. These improvements aim to better visualize sound localization in hearing aids, ensuring accurate spatial perception for users.
