The IT Center website has recently been relaunched with a new design. We attach great importance on clearly communicating the customer orientation, reliability and stability of our IT services, especially for our international customers. This is why we decided to re-design the structure of our website. The new website provides you with all the information you need about the IT Center as the central IT facility of RWTH Aachen University and as an educational institution, about our basic services as well as individual services, research foci, projects, cooperations and much more.

With the revision of the contents, however, some web addresses may have changed. So please remember to adjust your favorites according to the new web addresses.

What is new?

While the design still fits into the content management system of the RWTH website, the new layout is intended to provide a more modern look. From now on, the home page will give you a better overview of our services, goals, events and current news. The new fold-out menu bar not only provides a better overview, but also makes navigation much faster. Users are guided to the respective services via the menu bar and the individual categories.

The grouping and structuring of the individual services is based on the structure of the IT Center Help Portal to further facilitate navigation and achieve a uniform user experience. The layout of the individual subpages has been retained. Each web page still contains an info box with information about the respective target group as well as further useful links to the corresponding topic from the IT Center Help Portal.

But not only has the design been updated. The text content has also been revised. In doing so, we paid special attention to the use of gender-neutral language. All content was also supplemented with English translations.

Particularly important for the implementation of all these measures was your feedback, which we received, for example, in our satisfaction surveys. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your feedback and suggestions. You can send us your opinion and/or suggestions for improvement at any time. We look forward to your feedback!
