Coscine – How Is the RDM Platform Actually Structured?

Researchers face the daily challenge of efficiently managing and accessing large amounts of data. Nowadays, data management goes beyond simple storage. According to the FAIR principles, research data should be easy to find (Findable), accessible (Accessible), interoperable (Interoperable) and reusable (Reusable). This is exactly where Coscine (Collaborative Scientific Integration Environment) comes in – a platform that supports researchers throughout the data lifecycle.
But what exactly does that mean? Let’s take a look at the structure of Coscine and explain step by step how the platform for research data management (RDM) works.

We kindly present: The website for this year’s workshop “Data Stewardship goes Germany”, DSgG for short, is online. There you will find everything you need to know about this year’s DSgG. The event will take place on September 11 and 12, 2024 at RWTH Aachen University and is aimed at data stewards, data experts, data curators, data managers, research software engineers and anyone interested in research data management (RDM). Participation in the Conception Phase of the DKZ.2R

Together with the Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), the IT Center is participating in the conception phase of the Data Competence Center for the Rhine-Ruhr region, DKZ.2R for short. 22 projects were selected by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from a total of 74 applications to participate in the conception phase.
Coscine Passes into Regular Operation!
