The acoustic scattering of surfaces is very important in all aspects of room acoustics like in concert halls and reverberation rooms. The sound propagation can be calculated effectively and in high quality by geometrical simulation methods. Nevertheless, this requires reliable scattering coefficients. In this thesis, the random-incidence scattering coefficient will be measured after ISO 17497-1 and validated with literature values. Furthermore, improvements and guidelines of the measurement setup will be developed.
