From innovative events and new partnerships to internal team celebrations and significant changes and new ones, the year was characterised by growth, collaboration and joint development. The Digital Submission of Theses Is Here!

After reporting on the pilot of “Submission of Final Theses” (DivA) in May last year, we can now announce that the application is now available at RWTH Aachen. After extensive testing and many improvements in the extended pilot phase, we can now ensure that everything runs smoothly at the end of the degree programme.

December is here, and with it a special day is approaching: St. Nicholas Day – a day full of little surprises and perhaps a little magic too! On December 6, we celebrate a tradition that has been with us for centuries and makes the Christmas season that little bit more festive. But there is more behind the boots full of sweets than just a nice custom – St. Nicholas Day also reminds us of values such as generosity and community. Advent Door #1: Christmas Recipes

Advent is a time full of anticipation, and culinary highlights are a firm favourite. Today we’re kicking off our Advent series with classic German Christmas recipes and some new ideas to get young and old into the festive spirit. We’ve already shared some Christmas recipe ideas in 2020 – take a look at them for more inspiration. We’ve shown you how to make festive hot drinks such as mulled wine and apple punch at home and how to make roasted almonds. Hot chocolate and chestnuts as well as a recipe for shortbread biscuits were also included as Christmas market treats. This year there are also a few new creations!
