Corona lockdown in NRW also applies to RWTH Aachen University

December 14th, 2020 | by

Germany does not yet have the Corona pandemic under control: the still rising number of new infections require a hard lockdown from December 16, 2020 until initially January 10, 2021. The RWTH Aachen University is also living up to its responsibility as the city’s largest employer and is switching university operations to emergency mode from Wednesday. Employees will work in mandatory home offices from Wednesday at the latest. Nevertheless, the operational capability of the university’s IT services – especially with regard to online teaching – will be ensured in any case.

December 9th, 2020 | by

This year everything is a bit different than usual. However, a few traditions should still be observed – of course, respecting the current hygiene regulations. Even if no big get-together is possible, the employees of the IT Center will come together next Friday, December 11, 2020, for a virtual Christmas party.

Winter is Coming… and With it Completely New Possibilities: The New Plugins in RWTHmoodle

October 12th, 2020 | by

It is high time to replenish our own stock of thick socks (keyword: brace yourself). But besides cold and darkness, the winter semester has a lot of great new possibilities to offer, like our three new plugins in RWTHmoodle!

Like a Breath of Fresh Air… in September

September 21st, 2020 | by

At least for RWTHmoodle this is the case, because the first big update this year is coming. RWTHmoodle will be updated to Moodle version 3.9, including some minor and major changes. Improvements in accessibility, the widely used e-tests and the selection dialog when adding activities are just as much a part of this as minor adjustments to the forum, the grading of assignments and the question collection.

It's time for an update.

The exact date for the update to version 3.9 is 09.23.2020.
