New Work – Working from home as a new form of work
Until the beginning of 2020 the normal day-to-day work basically looked normal for almost everyone:
Getting to work in the morning, spending the day in the office with the team, holding meetings, having a quick chat with each other at the coffee machine, and in the evening heading back home again.

Suddenly, this routine was interrupted. The pandemic changed the way we worked as we knew it, and new or rather less common forms took root, such as working from home.
As of March 2020, working from home was the new norm for many workers. This confronted us all with new and major challenges that we had to adapt to in a timely manner.
The IT Center Picture Puzzle: Systems and Operation Department
#MeetMeWednesday: Recently we had another picture puzzle in store for you. In this puzzle, we were looking for the keyword for the Systems and Operation department. Could you guess it?
The word we were looking for was “gearwheel”. Georg Schramm, head of the department, tells us what it means and how this key word represents the department.

I was able to go on an educational trip to the Advanced Training Academy of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (FAH) in Herne recently as part of our internal advanced training concept. What my time was like during the two-day training on the topic of personnel marketing and employer branding, how important the topic is in times of labour shortage and what other exciting content I took away with me, I have recorded for you in this blog post.
Welcome new MATSE trainees!
90 new trainees began their dual training as mathematical-technical software developers (MATSE) on September 1.
