RWTH at ESCOP in Sheffield!
Several members of the Chair of Cognitive and Experimental Psychology as well as the Chair of Biological and Social Psychology travelled to the 24thConference of the European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) in Sheffield (UK) to present their research!

85. Konferenz der Academy of Management
Dr. Anna M. Stertz nahm vom 25. bis 29. Juli 2025 an der teil, die in Kopenhagen ausgerichtet wurde. Dort hat sie gemeinsam mit Dr. Maggie Wan (Texas State University, TX) in dem Symposium „New Frontiers in Passion and Performance” einen Vortrag zum Thema „The Impact of Fathers’ Work Passion on their Work Performance and Work-Family Balance Post-Childbirth“ gehalten.

Am 16. Juli hat Anne Sosin vom LuF für Entwicklungspsychologie und Forschungsmethoden Ihre Dissertation mit dem Titel „What drives our behavior shapes our feelings: The role of autonomous motivation and need fulfillment for within-person fluctuations and between-person differences in affective well-being” zum Erlangen des Doktorgrades der Naturwissenschaften (Dr. rer. nat.) außerordentlich erfolgreich absolviert.
In Ihrer Dissertation hat sie sich Zusammenhänge von autonomer Motivation, Bedürfnisbefriedigung und Wohlbefinden auf intra- und interindividueller Ebene über verschiedene Zeitspannen angeschaut.
Anne hat Ihre Promotion unter Betreuung von Prof. Dr. Andreas Neubauer an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main begonnen und abgeschlossen, ist jedoch seit Oktober 2023 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin mit Prof. Dr. Andreas Neubauer stellentechnisch an die RWTH Aachen gewechselt.
Wir als LuF Entwicklungspsychologie und Forschungsmethoden gratulieren Anne von ganzem Herzen zu dieser grandiosen Leistung und freuen uns auf die weitere zukünftige Zusammenarbeit!
Konferenz der European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP)
Vom 21. bis 24. Mai 2025 nahmen Dr. Christian L. Burk, Dr. Anna M. Stertz und Prof. Dr. Bettina S. Wiese an der Konferenz der European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) in Prag teil. Sie waren dort vertreten mit einem Symposium und Vortrag zum Thema berufbezogener Kreativität sowie einem Einzelbeitrag im Rahmen eines Symposiums zu geschlechtsspezifischen Herausforderungen im Karriereverlauf:

Konferenz der International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA)
Prof. Dr. Bettina S. Wiese (LS II) hat auf der Konferenz der International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) in Brisbane (02.07.2025 – 05.07.2025) einen gemeinsam mit Dr. Anna M. Stertz (LS II) eingereichten Vortrag zum Thema „Perceived maternal encouragement and subjective well-being of the father: A multi-wave longitudinal study“ gehalten. Im Anschluss hat sie die Zeit in Australien genutzt für Treffen an der University of Sydney (Prof. Dr. Helena Nguyen, Dr. Hannah Kunst) und der University of Wollongong (Prof. Dr. Jane Herbert).
Doktorand*innen Team am LuF Personal- und Organisationspsychologie (LS II)
Im letzten Jahr gab es einige Neuzugänge am LuF Personal- und Organisationspsychologie. Von links nach rechts besteht das Doktorand*innen Team aus Elias Czarnojan (seit 04/2025), Lara Sondern (seit 03/2025), Noah de Lamboy (seit 10/2024), Nadine Braun (seit 04/2025) und Rafail Dimopoulos (seit 06/2024). Inhaltlich decken die fünf Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen unter anderem die Themen Generativität, Vereinbarkeit von Beruf und Familie aus Individual- und Paarperspektive sowie Emotionsregulation am Arbeitsplatz ab.
A-Dok 2025
The 15th A-Dok Conference, organized by Anton Koger, Matilde Simonetti, and Luigi Falanga, was held in Aachen from May 25th to 27th. As an annual gathering for early-career researchers in Germany, A-Dok has long been a hub for scientific exchange in the fields of experimental and cognitive psychology.
This year’s multidisciplinary program featured exciting talks, posters, and discussions on topics ranging from language and cognitive control to decision-making and perception-action dynamics. In addition to engaging talks, poster sessions, and interactive discussions, a particular highlight were the keynote lectures by Dr. Yuranny Cabral-Calderin and Dr. Fritz Günther, who shared their international research experiences and offered valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of academic life abroad.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the event included various networking and social activities, emphasizing the importance of building peer connections within the academic community.
A-Dok 2025 underscored the crucial role of equality, interdisciplinarity, and international exchange within cognitive psychology. The conference fostered an inclusive atmosphere in which early-career researchers could develop a professional network and explore new ideas and frontiers.
IfP Sommerfest 2025
Das Institut für Psychologie hat am 2. Juni gemeinsam das diesjährige Sommerfest am Standort Jägerstraße gefeiert.
Bei gutem Wetter wurde gegrillt, ein leckeres Buffet genossen und die Gelegenheit genutzt, sich untereinander auszutauschen und zu vernetzen.
Ein besonderer Dank geht an das Orga-Team für das gelungene Fest!
SAA Conference 2025
The annual conference of the Society for Ambulatory Assessment (SAA) took place from May 26 to 28, 2025, at KU Leuven, Belgium – with multiple contributions by the lab Developmental Psychology and Research Methods. Not only did we enjoy the magnificent old town and the discussions with long standing and new collaborators, but there was also reason to celebrate: After the SAA Travel Scholarship (2023) and the Early Career Award (2024), Anna Jori Lücke has received the Best Poster Award at this year’s conference for her presentation of recent findings from our AgeLight project. Congratulations!

Rückblick auf den 53. dbl-Kongress in Bremen
Vom 23. bis 24. Mai 2025 fand der 53. Jahreskongress des Deutschen Bundesverbandes für Logopädie (dbl) im Congress Centrum Bremen statt – ein echtes Highlight für alle, die sich für Sprachtherapie und Sprachwissenschaft interessieren! An diesen zwei Tagen erwartete die 1000 Teilnehmenden ein buntes Programm voll spannender Vorträge, inspirierender Symposien, interaktiver Workshops und interessanter Posterpräsentationen.
Ein besonderes Augenmerk lag auf dem Symposium „Wirksamkeitsforschung – Warum Einzelfälle die besten Geschichten erzählen“. Hier präsentierten Thomas Günther und Stefanie Jung (Hochschule Trier) ihren Vortrag mit dem Titel „Therapieeffekte sichtbar machen: Quantitative Methoden zur Therapieevaluation in der Logopädie“.
Am zweiten Tag teilten Thomas Günther und Frederike Steinke ihre Erkenntnisse im Vortragsblock zum Thema „Sprachverarbeitung“. Sie beleuchteten, wie Kinder grammatisches Genus im prädiktiven Sprachverstehen nutzen und diskutierten den interlingualen Transfer in der prädiktiven Sprachverarbeitung bei Mehrsprachigkeit.
Aber nicht nur der wissenschaftliche Austausch kam nicht zu kurz! Am Freitagabend wurde beim Get Together gefeiert, gelacht und neue Kontakte geknüpft. Der Kongress war somit nicht nur eine Plattform für Wissen, sondern auch für geselliges Miteinander!
