Herzlich Willkommen, Iqra!

Iqra Ali Mirza joined the Chair I (Cognitive and Experimental Psychology, Prof. Dr. Iring Koch) as a PhD student this September. Iqra is working on the DFG funded project “Bilingual flexibility: The impact of dispositional and situational language balance on bilinguals’ word learning of a third language” (led by Dr. Tanja Roembke), which in turn is part of the Research Unit “Bilingual Flexibility – The Psychology of Language Control”.
Iqra previously completed her BSc. in Psychology at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, and received her European Master’s in Clinical Linguistics (EMCL+) from the University of Groningen, Ghent University, and University of Eastern Finland, where she investigated associations between verbal fluency behavior and structural brain connectivity.
